Location: Pechersk, a historical district, located to the south-east of the city
The Natsionalny Hotel is situated in Pechersk, a historical district, located to the south-east of the city, on the bank of the River Dnepr. In the 18th and 19th centuries this part of the city was extensively built up with the mansions of aristocracy and nobility, and in the 21st century Pechersk stays one of the most prestigious districts of the city.
Today Pechersk is an administrative and business center of Kiev, this is where the Mariinsky Palace (residence of the President), Cabinets of Ministers, National Bank of Ukraine and Ukrainian Parliament (Verchovna Rada) are situated. The name of the district originates from the Pechersky Monastery (Lavra) located there.
Just recently the hotel has undergone a total reconstruction and now offers its guest tastefully decorated and well-equipped rooms and most modern facilities.
Famous politicians, businessmen, sportsmen, artists and musicians often stay at the Natsionalny Hotel in Kiev. Comfortable accommodation and high standard of service have been highly appreciated by such guests of honor as Jacques Chirac, Helmut Kohl, Sergey Bubka, George Soros and Jean Chretien.
